Haley started her career in the nonprofit sector soon after graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Relations and Nonprofit Organizational Management. She has worked in both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa nonprofit communities, with experience spanning from a variety of social issues such as homelessness, child abuse and neglect, and food-insecurity. After most recently working as a Major Gift Officer with the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, she is now excited to serve The City Lights Foundation of Oklahoma as the Director of Development and Communications.
While Haley’s mission has changed with each new season, the vision has always stayed the same: making and creating space for people to be restored and made whole again. Haley is passionate about advocacy for the overlooked and marginalized and is always looking for ways to bring others to the table through their time, talent and treasure. Haley believes philanthropy is the greatest force for good and holds to the truth that fundraising is all about “the gentle art of teaching people the joy of giving.” She strives to model this in her own life as she invites others in to help meet the needs of our neighbors. Haley believes in actively investing in the Tulsa community and serves on the Young Professionals Emergency Infant Services Board, Co-Chaired the 2021 TYPROS Boomtown Awards, graduated from Leadership Tulsa’s Thrive Class 4 and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Eastern Oklahoma chapter. Outside of work and community involvement, Haley enjoys making wedding cakes, traveling, and exploring Tulsa’s culinary and coffee scene with her husband.
